How we calculate consumption
We add the energy used during preparation to the energy consumed while the machine remains on standby, then apply days of use and the electricity price.
(active W Γ minutes + standby W Γ hours) Γ· 1000 Γ days
Keeping it hot matters
Machines with boilers or warming plates can keep drawing power after the drink is ready. Switching them off when finished avoids that extra use.
Electricity cost is not drink cost
The result does not include coffee, capsules, filters, water or maintenance.
