How BricoDato calculates paint
We calculate wall area from the room perimeter multiplied by height, subtract doors and windows, and add the ceiling if selected. Then we apply the number of coats, coverage and margin.
(Walls + ceiling) × coats ÷ coverage × margin
Which coverage figure to use
Actual coverage depends on the product, porosity, previous colour and application method. Always use the figure on the product as your main reference.
Buying tip
Keep some paint from the same batch for touch-ups. If your estimate is close to the next pack size, having a reserve is usually safer.
